%null(code that you want to run but do not want to see) %null('code that you do not want to run)
Description%null() expands the arguments passed to %null(), and then throws away the result. Useful for functions that have side effects, that may produce output that you don't want to see.
You can also use this to hide textual comments.
This function is also useful for commenting out code by quoting the arguments so that they don't get expanded.
Comments won't show up in the output: %null( Here is code that will get the hostname: %set(hn,%getenv(HOSTNAME)) ) %null('dont delete the file! %delete(filethatshouldntgetdeleted) )
